This event honored ICCC founder C. Bernard Jackson, distinguished ICCC alumni, and other contributors to the ICCC legacy.

It also served as the kickoff for our Cultural Legacy Project fundraising campaign. Fundraising Committee co-chairs Ernie Hudson, Cecilia Peck, George Takei and Glynn Turman were recognized for spearheading this important initiative.

We also shared information about our developing partnership with the Beloved Community Initiative (BCI) at UCLA, and the C. Bernard Jackson Bridge Builders Awards that will be presented during BCI week at UCLA in April of 2022.

The program featured performances by Barbara Morrison, Phylliss Bailey and Larry Manley, and Rose Mallet; updates on the Cultural Legacy Project and the Leimert Park Village Theater Coalition; and announcement of ICCC Legacy Scholarship winners.

Hosts and presenters included Vusisizwe Azania, Tuesday Conner, Oscar Edwards, Jeff Kolansinski, Steven Paul Leiva, Duane Shepard, Sr., Dominic Taylor, Virginia Wing, Dr. L. Martina Young and ICCC board members James Bronson, James Burks, Ernest Dillihay,  Carmen Hayward-Stetson, Rosamaria Marquez and chair Dr. Sandi Sheffey.

We’re now following up with everyone who attended this virtual performance. If you were unable to attend but would like to support the Cultural Legacy Project fundraising campaign, see the Support Us page of this website for further information, or click here.
